The installation was created for the Grand Hotel Tiger Show, located at Börsenstrasse in Zurich, directly next to the old Credit Suisse office. I entered the room; it was sticky, dark, and in a moment of in-between. I had to reflect on the theory of the political thinker Antonio Gramsci. It is something like the old is not dead yet, but the new is not born yet. An exciting and scary time, as it’s easy for the monsters to slip under the door if things are unclear. The installation aims to create a narrative of this uncertainty—something that feels genuinely moving and alive, yet also dark and heavy. A looping conference of the displaced image of pigs in a forest, embodying something feminine and nurturing. The clouds are harshly outlined against the darkened windows.
